marketing has polluted the streets and tv sets in the country with information that overloads the brain of a Filipino on an average day. and with the may 2010 elections coming up, the information just got more intensely harder to bear.
nevertheless, this is my stand.
i find gibo teodoro to be the most brainy of them all, but brains will never be enough to run the country...intelligence is one, the idealism to make things work is another perspective that separates intelligence from smart thinking.
villar and gordon are the most competent in terms of portfolio and background, but, competence is one thing and the heart to serve is another thing...and i just dont find it in their aura to be of real service to the Filipino people....especially with villar's million (or even) billion costing ad campaigns - where did they get all those money, and how do they intend to get it back?
aquino is the the "weakest" in terms of background and possibly raw willpower. but! i believe that God has set this stage at this time to make us choose wisely. HE gave us the best set of candidates that can run the country so that we can decide for ourselves what will be best for our country to recover and heal? will it be brains? will it be competence? or will it be the heart that is guided by God to run a country through a person perceived to be "weak".
i am the least perfect of God's creation. in fact i have fallen to the darkes pit many times, but, i have seen HIS hand in my life...through perfect redemption brought about by HIS patience and love. and i see this same HAND guiding the weak like me, so many times in the bible to become the best versions of themselves at the tail end of their journey.
that is why, i believe in my heart, that the choice set out for me is clear...it will be Noynoy...
no, i am not part of his campaign...i am just a bystander...making my stand on the upcoming elections...just another break or make elections for the healing and recovery of the country i love and still believe in...
